2017 JavaScript conferences
Conferences are a great way to connect, network and get the latest in the field, straight from the source. These are events that can help you grow as a developer, that can motivate and push you forward.
There also pretty fun and great opportunities to get a look at new products first hand and get insights from some of the best professions in the business. JavaScript is everywhere so there’s no surprise that JavaScript conferences are very spread out, you’ll probably find one near you this year.
Let’s take it continent by continent.
Europe
15–16th March 2017. Focused on Angular NG-NL 2017 is a two-day conference (a training day and a conference day). Another good reason to visit Amsterdam.

Single day event on the 28th of March. Great talks on React from people from the community.
Full day conference — 21st of April. This is part of the React series of conferences that started out in San Francisco
Another two day event, 6–7 May. If you’re close by you could check it out. And visit Berlin at the same time.
Moving a bit south we have the jsDays conference in Italy. Two day event — May 10–11th.
12–13th of May — Multi track, two day conference in English and Spanish covering JS, node, React, Angular and more.
May 18–19, 2017, Paris, France
22 speakers (so far). They also have two days of workshops that you can attend between May 16–15th.
A two day event in Oxford on the 30 and 31st of March. Lots of different speaker and topics specific for front end developers.

A two day event in Cluj Napoca, a huge IT center in Eastern Europe.
Focusing on community and education. Happening in July, the season to see beautiful Barcelona.

July 12–14th 2017
A very interesting conference covering JavaScript, Node Angular and iOT. In its fourth edition it’s grown to a huge event.

Design and technology, happening in late August — 31 August — 1st of September. 2 days, 20+ presentations.

No in its third year, this is an “intimate one-day, single track, front-end JS conf in a London pub”on November 17th. The afterparty includes a JS pub quiz. Tickets are the call for papers/speakers are now available”.
The second edition, hosted in Sofia. One day event on November 19th.

Dubbed the largest JavaScript conference in Europe, it’s a two day event in the French capital on November 30 — Demcember 1st.
The first Angular conference in Belgium, in the city of Ghent, between December 8–9.
North America
Three days of training's, sessions, activities and with the Ember Core Team. On March 28–29th.
The original Angular concept conference that spread around the world. A three day event, April 5–7th with lots of talk and exciting topics.
Front End Design Conference — St. Peterburg
Enjoy spring in Florida and this three day event from April 19–21st in Saint Petersburg. The speakers have been announced.
Dive deep into all things React in this two day, one track conference on July 10–11th. Talks presented by influential leaders in the React world.
Edit:This is a React Native specific conference.
A two day full stack code conference covering front end, back end and platforms. Happening on May 18–19th.
Covering JavaScript and dinosaurs this is a one day, one track conference on June 15th.
Multi-track conference, June 20–22 in San Jose, CA (covers the entire web platform + a new performance track this year)
A JavaScript conference in the big Apple, showcasing the best of the local community and not just that. Happening sometime in the fall — TBA.
They will also have a “fullstack approach including design, frontend and backend JavaScript” Tracy Hinds, event organizer.

Rich Web Experience — Clearwater
A developer education event covering the latest web technologies, happening between Dec. 5–8 in Clearwater, FL.
South America
Happening in São Paulo on July 1st, this is a one day frontend conference. As far as I can tell, it’s going to be in Portuguese.
The only detail that has been released so far is the month, August. Keep tabs on their website to find out more.
Africa

JSinSA
JavaScript in South Africa is at their 7th annual edition. The date for this year hasn’t been announced yet, but keep an eye out on their site: http://www.jsinsa.com/.
NairobiJS
This is shaped more as a meet up as far as I saw, but the community is very large, with more than 600 developers. Find out more here about their next event: https://www.meetup.com/nairobi-js/.
Asia
Frontend Conference 2017 — Osaka
A one day event in Japan focused on front end technology. Happening on the 18th of March.
A conference that makes a great point about how web development grows in India, especially in Bangalore( the Indian Silicon Valley). This is a two day event in July, 28–29th.

Australia
Code — Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane
This is a two day, single track conference on frontend and JavaScript happening in 3 cities: Melbourne (July 26–27th), Sydney (July 31st and August 1st) and Brisbane (August 4th).

Antarctica
Again, I haven’t found any JS conferences going on, but maybe, just maybe, someone out of the 4490 people living in this lovely continent has an interest in JavaScript.
Online
The largest “continent” of all, it’s also the youngest, coming of age in recent years. If you can’t travel to any of the conferences mentioned above you can check still join an online event, like JS Remote Conf, happening on March 15–16th. They’ve got speakers, they’ve got talks, you just need a good internet connection and two free days (and $200)
